Your day begins with a pickup at the parking lot of the “La Comer” supermarket in San José del Cabo. Pickup time varies based on availability. From there, you’ll travel 2.5 hours north in a comfortable, air-conditioned van to the city of La Paz, where your boat and guide await. After a briefing on the biology, behavior, and conservation of whale sharks, you’ll head to the protected snorkeling zone—just 15 to 30 minutes offshore. Once a whale shark is spotted, you’ll gear up and enter the water for a respectful, close-range swim. Each encounter is carefully timed and regulated to ensure a safe experience for both guests and animals. After approximately two hours on the water, you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared local lunch before beginning the scenic drive back to Los Cabos, arriving by late afternoon.
