Rescue Diver Course
Build the skills every serious diver should have. The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you how to prevent problems before they happen and respond confidently in the water. It’s challenging, empowering, and one of the most rewarding courses you’ll ever take.

The Rescue Diver course is where everything starts to come together. You’ll begin with PADI’s eLearning module, covering the psychology of rescue, diver stress, emergency management, and in-water response techniques. Then, over the course of two to three days with your instructor, you’ll put that theory into practice through realistic rescue scenarios—both on the surface and underwater. You’ll learn how to assess situations quickly, perform self-rescue, assist panicked divers, and conduct missing diver searches. It’s challenging, but incredibly rewarding—and it will change the way you dive forever.
Course Requirements / Prerequisites
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- Minimum age: 12 years old
- Must have CPR/First Aid training within the last 24 months (PADI EFR can be added)
- Completion of Rescue Diver eLearning before in-water training
- Medically fit for diving
Course Schedule:
Day 1: 5 rescue exercises from 8:00 – 13:30
Day 2: 5 rescue exercises from 8:00 – 13:30
Day 3: 2 rescue scenarios from 8:00 – 13:30
Please note that the elearning must be completed prior to the first day of diving

Private Instruction
Choose to complete your PADI Rescue Diver course with a private instructor for $100 USD. It’s a smart option if you want focused support during this intensive, hands-on training — especially if you're pairing it with EFR or working toward Divemaster.
