The PADI Deep Diver Specialty is your passport to exploring new depths safely and with confidence. After completing the online eLearning module, you’ll join your instructor for four deep dives over two days. You’ll learn how to plan dives beyond 60 feet (18 meters), monitor gas supply, adjust buoyancy, and navigate the physiological effects of increased pressure. Dive scenarios may include drop-offs, wall dives, and deep reef structures around San José del Cabo, depending on conditions. Your instructor will walk you through proper safety protocols, emergency procedures, and how to manage narcosis or changes in bottom time. After certification, you’ll be qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 130 ft (40 m).
Course Requirements / Prerequisites
- Must be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- Minimum age: 15 years old
- Must complete PADI eLearning before dives
- Must be medically fit for diving
- 4 dives required for certification (over 2 days)
Course Schedule:
Day 1: Deep dives 1 and 2 from 8:00 – 13:30
Day 2: Deep dives 3 and 4 from 8:00 – 13:30
