IDC Staff Instructor Course

This big step on your way up the educational ladder, will put you right at the heart of the PADI Instructor Development Course, you will learn from our in house PADI Course Director the finer details of how to get the best out of your candidates and show them there are many ways to correctly critique, so as the candidate can not only pass the PADI Exam but excel in their work life as a PADI Instructor
The Dive Cabo – PADI IDC Staff Instructor – is a 12 day program that follows along with the PADI IDC course. The program starts with eLearning, this at home study, breaks down the anatomy of a presentation, teaching you to understand there are different ways to achieve the same result. It also teaches you the theory and the expected higher level of understanding, which is expected from a PADI IDC Staff Instructor.
Assessment includes the Theory Exam, “mirroring” the scores of the PADI Course Director when marking the IDC candidates classroom, pool and open water presentations. All while displaying highly polished dive skills and attitude.
You will become a mentor and trusted partner.
The PADI IDC Staff course runs concurrently with the Dive Cabo
PADI IDC, you will be expected to complete the whole 12 day
program, also “auditing” portions of the PADI Exam at the PADI
Examiner’s discretion.
You will be required to have all your own equipment as per laid out in the Standard and Procedures of the PADI Manual.
You will be also required to display professional “role model” behaviour.
To enter the PADI IDC Staff Instructor, you will need the following-
- Teaching status PADI Instructor.

PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.

Emergency First Response Instructor.

Agree to conduct all levels of diver training consistent with the standards and philosophy outlined in the PADI Instructor Manual, PADI’s Guide to Teaching and the PADI Course Director Manual.

Agree to use the PADI System and its components in their entirety.

Dive Cabo has the regions only dedicated scuba training centre “klubhaus”. Cheap accommodation for the PADI IDC Staff Instructor course can be rented (when available) for the 2 week timeframe. Each room has a full kitchen and bathroom set up.
