First Time Divers:

Want to try scuba diving, but not sure if you’re ready for a certification course? Try our Discover Scuba Diving program. The program includes an orientation from our instructor on dive procedures, underwater communication and dive skills.

You’ll then go on to complete 2 open water dives to a maximum of 40 feet. You will start the first dive in very shallow water on a sandy bottom, getting used to breathing underwater and practicing a few skills.

Once you complete the skills and feel comfortable you will continue with the instructor to explore the dive site and see the marine life.  On the second dive you won’t do skills, and simply enjoy the underwater world! Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.

Tour Description:

Want to do some next level diving out in the Big Blue? Then Gordo Banks is the site for you. Gordo Banks is a seamount 5 miles offshore where pelagic marine life sightings are common and expected.

Gordo Banks is multiple miles from shore, with depths ranging from 100-200ft. Subsequently there are frequent changes in current and visibility, therefore we require all divers to do a local 2-tank dive with us or our sister shop “Dive Cabo”, prior to the Gordo Banks trip.

Moreover, please also note that the ocean is not an aquarium, therefore Gordo Banks can be a hit or miss dive. Above all the draw card here is the schooling Hammerhead sharks, however please understand that the sightings are intermittent.

On the other hand, even if the hammerheads decide not to show up, you can see all kinds of pelagic life, for example curious silky sharks, manta rays, marlin and even whales! Primarily, you need to be a competent diver with experience in blue water diving to fully appreciate the site. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.

How to book:

1: Click the ‘Book Now’ button below.
2: Book a 2-Tank Local dive with us on a date of your choice (compulsory before shark diving)
3: Book your shark diving trip to Gordo Banks!

In the winter time Cabo Pulmo can offer some great diving, although between January and July it is often affected by winds and poor weather. For this tour, you will dive with our partner dive shop in Cabo Pulmo, who will not only ensure your safety, but also that you have a fun diving experience. You will be picked up by their arranged transport at the “Starbucks” in San Jose del Cabo (next to the “La Comer” supermarket) at 11:30 am, and finally we aim to be back in Cabo by 6:30 pm.
