First Time Divers:
Want to try scuba diving, but not sure if you’re ready for a certification course? Try our Discover Scuba Diving program. The program includes an orientation from our instructor on dive procedures, underwater communication and dive skills.
You’ll then go on to complete 2 open water dives to a maximum of 40 feet. You will start the first dive in very shallow water on a sandy bottom, getting used to breathing underwater and practicing a few skills.
Once you complete the skills and feel comfortable you will continue with the instructor to explore the dive site and see the marine life. On the second dive you won’t do skills, and simply enjoy the underwater world! Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.

We charge $45 US for passengers – we will provide snorkel equipment free of charge if requested, however please note that it is a dive trip first, and some of our dive sites are not optimal for snorkeling.
Photography Service
All our professional dive guides and instructors carry underwater action cameras. Though you are of course welcome to bring your own cameras, we will take photos and/or videos to help capture your experience. These photos and videos are free of charge – please bring a USB memory stick or iPhone to allow easy data transfer. This is not a professional photography service – but you will have memories to take home of your dive experience.
Eco Friendly
We work hard to protect the environment that we love. Therefore we do not provide plastic bottles of water, instead you will find containers of purified drinking water with reusable cups on our boats. Thus, we recommend you to bring your own reusable water bottle to refill as you like. Our oceans are polluted with large amounts of plastic, and here at East Cape Explorers we do all we can to not contribute to that problem.
